This page describes Sum2Do's only SMS program: a one-time passcode sent to verify a phone number at sign-up or sign-in. It is a transactional, user-initiated program. Sum2Do does not operate a marketing, promotional, or recurring-message SMS program of any kind.
This text appears directly beneath the phone-number field, on the same screen, before any message is sent:
"By tapping TEXT ME A CODE you agree to receive a one-time verification code from Sum2Do at the number you entered. One message per sign-in attempt. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Terms and Privacy Policy."
Your Sum2Do verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Don't share it. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Sent from +1 816 586 0485. Single segment; the code shown is an example.

Opt-in is always initiated by the person, inside our own app or website. There is no third party, no purchased list, and no pre-checked box. The flow below is what the implemented code does; see "Where the opt-in appears" for its current availability. 1. The user opens the sign-in screen (sum2do.com/auth, or the Sum2Do iOS app) and chooses "Continue with phone". Email sign-in and Apple/Google sign-in are offered alongside it — phone is never forced. 2. The user types their own mobile number into the phone field. 3. The consent language quoted above is displayed beneath that field, on the same screen, before the user acts. 4. The user taps "TEXT ME A CODE". That deliberate action is the opt-in. 5. A single one-time passcode is sent to the number entered. 6. The user types the code back into the app to finish verifying. No message is ever sent to a number that was not just typed in by the person holding the device, and no message is sent until the user taps the button.
One message per sign-up or sign-in attempt the user initiates. Messages are on demand only — there is no recurring schedule, no drip, and no broadcast. A user who never signs in again never receives another message.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Sum2Do does not charge for these messages.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from Sum2Do. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to opt back in. Because these are verification codes, opting out means phone sign-in will no longer work for that number. Email sign-in and Apple/Google sign-in remain available, so no one is locked out of their account by opting out.
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email support@sum2do.com. Support is also reachable at sum2do.com/support.
Carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your mobile number is used only to deliver verification codes and to secure your account. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their marketing. It is shared only with our SMS carrier for the sole purpose of delivering the message you requested. Full details are in our Privacy Policy at sum2do.com/privacy, and the corresponding terms are section 13 of sum2do.com/terms.
Web: sum2do.com/auth — "Continue with phone" iOS: the Sum2Do app, same screen and identical wording Current status, stated plainly: phone sign-in is implemented on both platforms but is switched off in production while this campaign is under review. Until the campaign is approved, messages to US numbers are rejected by the carrier network, so presenting the option would only give users a button that cannot work. The consent screen and its wording are exactly as quoted on this page and are what will be shown the moment the campaign is approved. Phone sign-in is offered alongside email and Apple/Google sign-in. It is optional; an account can be created and used without ever providing a phone number.
