Sum2Do ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Platform").
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your name, email address, username, profile photo, date of birth, and location data. We also collect information about your activity on the Platform, including meetups you create or join, messages you send, ratings and reviews, and your interactions with other users. Location data is collected to show you nearby meetups and to enable map features. You can control location sharing in your device settings and in the app's privacy settings. We collect identity verification documents (government ID and selfie) only when you voluntarily choose to verify your account. These documents are stored securely and used solely for verification purposes.
We use your information to: - Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform - Connect you with nearby athletes and meetups - Process transactions through our store - Send you notifications about meetup updates, friend requests, and messages - Verify your identity when you choose to get verified - Enforce our Terms of Service and protect user safety - Analyze usage patterns to improve the user experience We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share your information only in the following circumstances: With other users: Your profile information (username, bio, photo, sports, verification status) is visible to other users. Your location is shown at the city level only, not your exact address. With service providers: We use Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email delivery, and CJ Dropshipping/Printful/Printify for store order fulfillment. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their services. For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the safety of our users.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), row-level security on our database, secure authentication with PKCE flow, and encrypted storage of sensitive credentials. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or safety purposes (such as resolved reports or fraud prevention).
The Platform is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Certain features (18+ meetups) require age verification. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
